The family park "Cheburashka" in the city of Yelabuga, Republic of Tatarstan, opened in 2020. The new park challenges the identity of the place, while preserving its spirit and senses important for city dwellers.
The park renovation project won the 2018 competition "Small Towns and Historical Settlements" held by Russia's Ministry of Construction, Housing and Utilities and was finalized during consultations and project seminars with experts and Yelabuga residents.
For this park, Aira has produced a modern all-season playground made of natural materials. Its design was developed by the architectural studio "Orchestra Design".
The main playground are wooden towers, timber piles of different height that stand between the towers, a tunnel slide and a climbing net made of a reliable polymer reinforced rope.
